Endpoint Refresh Technician – Laptop Lifecycle Management

About the role

The Refresh Specialist ensures the organization’s laptop fleet remains up‑to‑date and functional. You will manage the end‑to‑end refresh process, from collecting out‑of‑warranty devices to deploying fully configured replacements, minimizing downtime for internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate retrieval of out‑of‑warranty laptops from employees and process them according to asset policies.
• Prepare, configure, and deploy replacement laptops that meet company standards.
• Track warranty status and maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware assets.
• Act as the primary contact for users throughout the refresh cycle, providing timelines and support.
• Perform data migration, backup, and secure wiping of retired devices in line with security protocols.
• Document refresh activities, maintain logs, and generate status reports for leadership.
• Collaborate with IT support, procurement, and facilities to resolve issues and streamline logistics.

Required profile

• Experience managing laptop assets and coordinating device refreshes.
• Familiarity with IT security and data governance procedures.
• Strong communication skills to guide users through the transition.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams such as IT, procurement, and facilities.
