Early Childhood Educator – Mary’s Place Childcare

About the role

Make a difference with the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul! We are looking for a passionate Early Childhood Educator to join the Mary’s Place Childcare team in Victoria. The role is full‑time and focuses on delivering high‑quality, caring childcare in a group setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality, caring and supportive childcare programs that align with Mary’s Place philosophy and policies.
• Integrate centre curriculum plans and deliver services to young children in a group environment.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (required).
• Current BC License to Practice (required).
• At least one year of recent relevant experience in an early childhood centre.
• First Aid Certification – Standard CPR (required).
• Experience with children who have cognitive or physical disabilities (asset).
• General office management skills (asset).

Required skills

• Understanding of Community Care Facilities Branch licensing requirements.
• Knowledge of issues affecting children and families.
• Adherence to the ECE BC Code of Ethics.
• Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Accountability and collaborative work style.
