About the role
As a Department Manager at H&M you will lead a store department, fostering an inclusive culture, driving sales and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and motivate your team, promoting an inclusive and collaborative environment.
- Ensure visual and commercial standards are met according to global guidelines.
- Analyze sales data, set targets and create plans to optimise results and profit.
- Oversee the omni‑channel customer experience, promoting the Hello Member loyalty app and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
- Manage department operations cost‑efficiently, including fitting‑room and checkout routines and administrative tasks.
- Stay up‑to‑date with fashion trends and ensure the team shares product knowledge with customers.
- Recruit, onboard, evaluate performance, develop staff and plan schedules.
- Ensure compliance with store procedures, legal requirements and company policies.
Required profile
- Strong leadership and people‑development abilities.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on sales performance and commercial opportunities.
- Good fashion awareness and knowledge of current trends.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
- Ability to manage budgets and operate cost‑efficiently.
- Retail experience, preferably in fashion.
