About the role

Join Canadian Tire’s fast‑paced analytics team as a Data Scientist, Partnerships on a 12‑month contract. You will turn large customer and financial data sets into actionable insights that shape partnership strategy and drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analytical support to key internal clients and deliver data‑driven recommendations.
• Develop, validate, and interpret statistical and machine‑learning models that address business needs.
• Extract, clean, and manipulate large retail and customer data sets to identify trends.
• Summarize findings in clear reports and presentations for cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams across marketing, operations, finance, and sales to apply data models to real‑world use cases.
• Proactively analyze customer behaviour and suggest process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2–3 years of experience building machine‑learning models for business applications.
• Strong understanding of statistical significance and model interpretation.
• Experience working with large retail or banking data sets is a plus.
• Ability to manage project timelines and communicate findings effectively.
