Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment Lead Teacher

About the role

The Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment Lead Teacher is an informal leadership position that bridges research‑based theory and classroom practice. Working directly with teachers across the division, you will enhance student learning by integrating best practices in pedagogy, assessment, literacy, and numeracy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalized, side‑by‑side instructional coaching, including classroom modeling, co‑teaching, and real‑time feedback.
• Lead professional development sessions on Universal Design for Learning, curriculum implementation, outcome‑based assessment, and integration of Indigenous perspectives.
• Support instructional strategies for English as an Additional Language learners and promote the Catholic faith in teaching.
• Collaborate with the Learning Services team to plan and coordinate divisional curriculum priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) required; Master’s degree considered an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to a Christ‑centered environment.
• Previous experience in teacher coaching or leadership, preferably at the junior high level.
• Strong organizational skills and high emotional intelligence to navigate school culture.

Required skills

• Knowledge of educational technology and AI‑assisted tools for differentiated instruction.
