About the role

The Grader supports the teaching team by marking exams and assignments for the MGCR 222 course. Candidates with background knowledge of the subject matter are preferred. The position requires strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key responsibilities

  • Mark exams and assignments according to established rubrics.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and grading data.
  • Enter grades accurately into the university’s grading system.
  • Meet all grading deadlines set by the course instructor.

Required profile

  • Authorized to work in Canada and willing to work on the McGill campus in Quebec.
  • Proficient in English communication, both spoken and written.
  • Background knowledge of the MGCR 222 subject area is an asset.

Required skills

  • Ability to assess student work objectively and consistently.
  • Attention to detail when applying grading criteria.
  • Basic computer skills for entering grades and handling digital files.

What we offer

  • Hourly wage of $16.10 CAD.
  • Fixed‑term contract from 2026‑01‑05 to 2026‑05‑16.
