Controller

About the role

Our client, a well‑established Canadian industrial organization, is looking for a Controller to lead the finance function across multiple business lines. This senior‑level role will work closely with operational teams, shape financial strategy, and support the company’s growth and innovation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and mentor a team of at least two general accountants, including CPA candidates.
• Build strong, face‑to‑face relationships with operations teams across various locations.
• Integrate into a newly structured finance team and adapt to an elevated controller role.
• Contribute to the development of divisional processes and support business‑growth initiatives.
• Provide financial insights in collaboration with direct reports and operational staff.

Required profile

• CPA designation (mandatory).
• Experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Proven ability to manage and lead a finance team.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time within Southern Ontario.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse communication styles.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems; Oracle ERP experience is a plus.

• Competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 CAD.
