Controller III

About the role

The Controller III reports to the Director of Finance and leads a team of five accountants responsible for financial and operational reporting across three manufacturing facilities and four distribution centers. The role partners closely with plant operations, engineering, supply chain, and senior executives to ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for a five‑person accounting team.
• Oversee month‑end close, prepare financial reporting packages, and deliver in‑depth variance analysis.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure consistency and accuracy of operational metrics such as yield, labor efficiency, SKU mix impact, and inventory on hand.
• Consolidate and present divisional results, including EBITDA and cash flow, to senior leadership.
• Manage inventory controls at four distribution centers and support grocery customer partnerships while protecting working capital.
• Drive cost‑savings initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Participate in bi‑monthly operational reviews with the CEO, CFO, and COO.
