Construction Superintendent – Civil & Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead civil and infrastructure projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. You will work closely with the project management team, clients and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and schedule performance on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Pomerleau’s health, safety and environmental standards and comply with all applicable laws.
• Develop and manage the construction schedule, meet milestones and coordinate with the project manager.
• Lead, mentor and train the site crew with a hands‑on approach.
• Collaborate with business partners, consultants and clients during coordination meetings.
• Verify that materials, plans and specifications meet code and quality requirements.
• Manage resources and logistics, including workforce planning, inventory control and material receipt.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date site documentation.
• Identify problems, propose solutions and drive productivity improvements through to project closeout.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in civil construction.
• Construction‑related certificate or diploma.
• Proven success in project management and team collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, planning, quality control and cost management.
• Ability to quickly diagnose issues, analyse root causes and lead a large team to resolution.
• Passion for developing and executing the project schedule.
• Solid computer skills and experience with scheduling software.
• Market knowledge and ability to work across the region.
