Communications Specialist

About the role

FCC Canada is seeking a Communications Specialist to support the Scarborough Transit Connect project, a major subway extension in the Greater Toronto Area. The role will focus on creating and coordinating internal and external communications that inform stakeholders and the community about construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and produce external and internal communication materials, including executive‑level updates.
• Research, draft, and publish construction notices and impact reports for the community.
• Assist with event planning, site walks, and community outreach activities.
• Support special projects, tracking dashboards, procurement needs, and survey coordination.
• Write, edit, and publish engaging content across various business units.
• Participate in meetings to address public concerns and contribute to risk assessment reviews.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with construction and project teams.
• Experience in drafting public notices and managing stakeholder communications.
• Organizational skills for event coordination and project tracking.
