Communications Adviser

About the role

The Communications Adviser will support the organisation’s public image by planning and executing events, creating communication strategies and producing written content. This onsite role requires close collaboration with staff and students to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes
• Design, evaluate and implement communication strategies and programmes
• Prepare written material such as reports, briefs, website content, speeches, presentations and press releases
• Supervise professional and support staff as well as students
• Train and mentor staff members
• Perform administrative tasks and assist in the preparation of brochures, newsletters and other materials
• Gather, research and prepare communications material
• Conduct online marketing, e‑commerce and website promotions
• Write and edit press releases, newsletters and other communications materials

Required profile

• 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience
• Strong written communication skills in English
• Ability to develop and evaluate communication strategies
• Experience supervising and training staff
• Capability to produce a variety of written materials
