About the Role

Join the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) as a Business Intelligence and Performance Reporting Analyst within our Operations division. You will play a pivotal role in driving regulatory decision-making by transforming complex data into actionable insights through advanced analytics and high-impact visualization solutions.

Main Missions

• Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated BI solutions, including automated reports and interactive dashboards.
• Analyze diverse datasets from multiple sources to support regulatory authorizations, inspections, audits, and enforcement actions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of BI products, ensuring continuous improvement and data reliability.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of SQL developers, business analysts, and low-code developers to deliver integrated data solutions.
• Define and monitor key performance metrics to support the Regulatory Improvement branch.

Profile Required

• Proven experience in data analysis and business intelligence within a complex organizational structure.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical data specifications.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and process optimization.
