About the role
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate commercial growth across Canada’s SMB and mid‑market segments in the technology and IT hardware space. The role focuses on outbound prospecting, pipeline creation, and positioning the company as a strong alternative in a competitive market.
Key responsibilities
- Generate net‑new commercial opportunities across SMB and mid‑market accounts.
- Build outbound prospecting campaigns using LinkedIn, email, networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
- Conduct discovery conversations about infrastructure, refresh cycles, procurement processes, budgets, and business needs.
- Develop and manage a qualified pipeline through Salesforce CRM.
- Partner closely with channel and account teams to support opportunity progression and conversion.
- Provide competitive market insights and customer feedback to drive broader commercial growth.
Required profile
- 3–8+ years of experience in business development, commercial sales, or B2B technology sales.
- Proven success generating net‑new pipeline through outbound prospecting.
- Experience selling commercial technology solutions such as IT hardware, endpoint devices, SaaS, or telecom.
- Strong understanding of SMB and mid‑market commercial sales environments.
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and discovery skills.
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced, performance‑driven settings.
