Business Analyst – Financial Reporting & Analytics

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Business Analyst to partner with Executive Leadership in Calgary. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting that supports strategic and operational decisions across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly financial reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for senior leaders.
• Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, executive‑ready insights, highlighting trends, variances, and risks.
• Validate financial logic, assumptions, and interpretations in collaboration with Finance, Accounting, and leadership teams.
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, anomalies, or gaps with source system owners.
• Support ad‑hoc executive requests related to financial performance, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
• Maintain high standards for data accuracy, refresh reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance system owners to onboard new data sources or modify existing integrations.
• Extract and validate data from enterprise systems such as ERP platforms, Oracle, and Salesforce.

Required profile

• Strong financial and business understanding with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Experience delivering financial reporting and analytics for senior leadership.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can identify data issues and drive resolution.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Finance, IT, and executive teams.
