Bilingual Commercial Underwriting Manager

About the role

Join a fast‑growing commercial credit team at a leading Canadian challenger bank. As a Bilingual Commercial Underwriting Manager you will evaluate and approve conventional commercial mortgage requests while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, underwrite, and recommend approval for commercial mortgage loan applications.
• Ensure all lending criteria, documentation, and conditions are satisfied in a timely manner.
• Coordinate closely with internal funding, sales, and risk teams as well as external partners such as mortgage brokers, lenders, solicitors, and appraisers.
• Manage your deal pipeline, prioritize workloads, and meet prescribed deadlines.
• Prepare regular administrative reports used by senior management to track department performance.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
• Minimum of 2 years experience underwriting commercial or residential mortgage loans.
• Post‑secondary education in business administration, finance, or a related field.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and work collaboratively across teams.
