Assistant Fitness Manager – Burnaby

About the role

The Assistant Fitness Manager (AFM) supports the General Manager and Fitness Manager in delivering a best‑in‑class fitness experience at our Burnaby club. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the AFM drives team performance, member satisfaction, and financial results across all personal training and fitness product offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Personal Trainers, ensuring adherence to company policies, health & safety, and performance standards.
• Achieve personal training and supplement revenue targets through program design, promotions, and client acquisition initiatives.
• Oversee accurate administration of training services, including session tracking, dotFIT usage, and redemption procedures.
• Address cleanliness, health, and safety issues promptly and report incidents per company protocol.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments such as Accounting, HR, IT, Marketing, and Maintenance to support club operations.

Required profile

• Active Personal Trainer Certification and First Aid Certification.
• Leadership or management experience in sales, retail, or hospitality (preferred).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and public‑speaking abilities.
• Professional, punctual, organized, and motivated self‑starter.

Required skills

• Proficiency with fitness management software (e.g., dotFIT) for tracking and reporting.
