Accounting Manager (CPA) – Holding Companies, Audit & Tax

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CPA to lead accounting, audit, and tax functions for a portfolio of holding and real‑estate companies. The role works closely with senior leadership, oversees a small accounting team, and supports key initiatives such as acquisitions, restructurings, and financing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple holding and real‑estate entities.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with ASPE and applicable tax regulations.
• Oversee corporate and partnership tax return preparation and filing.
• Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior accounting staff.
• Coordinate external audit and review engagements.
• Handle inter‑company transactions, consolidations, and reconciliations.
• Monitor compliance with partnership agreements.
• Support special projects including acquisitions, restructurings, and financing initiatives.
• Collaborate with the VP of Finance on financial reporting, planning, and analysis.

Required profile

• CPA designation required; CPA‑Auditor designation is an asset.
• 7‑10+ years of experience in audit, tax, and corporate accounting.
• Experience with holding companies, real‑estate entities, or complex corporate structures.
• Prior supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP (ASPE) and corporate tax compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
