Accountant

About the role

Citylogix is looking for a hands‑on Accountant to lead core accounting operations for its growing multi‑entity organization. You will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting across Canadian and U.S. operations while improving processes and maintaining tight timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Review and approve work prepared by the accounting technician.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and banking activities.
• Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Online and ensure proper intercompany accounting between Canadian and U.S. entities.
• Drive month‑end close, prepare financial statements, and perform variance analysis.
• Manage U.S. sales tax registrations, filings, and multi‑state compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and identify process‑automation opportunities.

Required profile

• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience with full‑cycle ownership.
• Proven ability to independently manage month‑end close and produce complete financial statements.
• Experience in multi‑entity environments, especially across Canada and the U.S.
• Exposure to U.S. sales tax compliance, intercompany reconciliations, and multi‑currency accounting.
