Working Foreperson, Roads & Stormwater Management

About the role

The Town of Whitby is seeking a Working Foreperson to lead the maintenance of its roads, stormwater facilities, ditches and sidewalks. This role reports to the Supervisor of Operations (Roads/Traffic) and plays a key part in delivering safe, reliable infrastructure for a rapidly growing community.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance activities for stormwater facilities, roads, ditches and sidewalks.
• Supervise field crews, ensuring work is performed safely and to municipal standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments, external contractors and elected officials.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation of work performed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
