Web Developer – 4DY Initiative (Hybrid, Toronto)

About the role

The Institute for Work & Health is seeking a Web Developer to join the 4DY Initiative, a multi‑year project focused on building inclusive workplaces for diverse youth. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will design, develop, and maintain web applications that support project goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and programming of the project website using the Drupal platform.
• Maintain and update website and web‑server software to ensure security and performance.
• Collaborate with scientists, operations, and communications teams to create custom web functionalities.
• Ensure web accessibility, usability, and compliance with best‑practice standards.
• Provide strategic advice on website use for communications objectives.
• Develop and document website protocols and train staff on site updates.
• Set up and manage web analytics to track usage and inform improvements.

Required profile

• Qualified professional with experience developing and maintaining web applications.
• Familiarity with Drupal and web accessibility standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment (minimum three days onsite in Toronto).
