Water Transfer Technicians

About the role

Sideworx Connect is hiring Water Transfer Technicians to move water from source to job sites safely and efficiently. The role involves operating pumps, trucks and filtration units in outdoor, often extreme, conditions while maintaining professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as pumps, crew trucks, filtration units and equipment trailers to transfer water.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure all equipment remains in good working order.
• Follow client‑provided standard operating procedures, rules and regulations.
• Represent the company with a professional attitude and appearance on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of water‑transfer experience.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pumps and flow dynamics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain a safe work environment.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.

Required skills

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Current certifications in First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO (TDG & WHMIS).
• Access to a 4×4 diesel truck (1‑ton) equipped with a slip tank and transfer pump/hose hitch receiver.
• Proof of $5 million liability insurance.
