VMware Virtual Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

The VMware Virtual Infrastructure Specialist will join a global staff‑augmentation firm to design, operate, and support enterprise‑grade VMware Cloud Foundation environments. You will ensure high availability, security, and performance across multiple IaaS platforms while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation (vSphere, vSAN, Aria Suite, NSX, HCX, SDDC Manager) components.
• Support disaster‑recovery solutions such as vSphere Replication, VMware Live Site Recovery, and SRM.
• Manage Clienture IaaS environments and associated automation pipelines using Ansible Tower and Clienture DevOps.
• Develop Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions with Ansible, Terraform, and related tools.
• Perform real‑time health monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Execute incident resolution, change management, and configuration updates within defined SLA targets.
• Maintain technical documentation, release notes, and compliance reporting.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation as required.

Required profile

• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise VMware platforms (vSphere, VCF).
• At least 3 years working with Clienture IaaS, Ansible Tower and Clienture DevOps.
• Proven experience in hyper‑converged infrastructure and 24/7 production support.

• ITIL, TOGAF, Agile certifications (preferred).
