Virtual Design Lead

About the role

The Virtual Design Lead oversees BIM/VDC activities across multiple active construction projects. You will ensure that digital models are accurate, coordinated, and ready for construction while serving as the primary liaison between VDC teams, project managers, field crews, and trade partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead BIM/VDC coordination for several projects simultaneously.
• Maintain model accuracy, constructability, completeness, and version control.
• Manage clash detection processes and drive timely resolution of coordination issues.
• Coordinate production of shop drawings, installation drawings, and other deliverables.
• Ensure deliverables are issued on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership to VDC coordinators and modelers.
• Participate in coordination meetings, prepare model views, and track action items.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Support adoption of new technologies such as 3D scanning and reality capture.
