Utility Maintenance Worker

About the role

The Utility Maintenance Worker supports the safe and efficient operation of campus waterworks and gas distribution systems. Working under the direction of qualified tradespeople, you will ensure equipment is clean, lubricated, and functioning properly in a residential setting.

Key responsibilities

• Check, clean and lubricate waterworks equipment.
• Adjust and repair waterworks equipment under supervision.
• Check, lubricate, refuel and clean various vehicles and equipment.
• Report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Check and lubricate gas pipeline valves and provide information on underground gas distribution lines.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of experience working in utility maintenance or a related field.

Required skills

• Waterworks equipment maintenance.
• Gas pipeline valve lubrication.
• Operation of vehicles and maintenance equipment.
