About the Position

Join the Home Living team at Assisted Living Alberta and take a significant step in your nursing career. This role is specifically designed for nursing students to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional clinical practice within a supportive community care environment.

Main Missions

• Provide professional nursing support services directly in the homes of clients across all life stages.
• Deliver patient-centered care while strictly adhering to clinical standards and safety protocols.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), or other regulated health professionals.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care delivery and client well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation and seek professional consultation or guidance whenever necessary to ensure patient safety.
• Comply with all legislative standards, Alberta Health Services policies, and supervision requirements.

Profile Required

• Currently enrolled in an approved Nursing program in Alberta leading to RN or RPN licensure.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and community health improvement.
• Ability to work independently in home settings while respecting professional boundaries and supervision limits.
• Must possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle for client visits.
