Truck Trailer Mechanic

About the role

Rapid Express is seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to maintain and repair commercial transport truck systems at its Rockwood facility. The role involves hands‑on work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial truck and trailer systems.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults, including motor operation and road‑testing vehicles.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications and estimate parts and labour costs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services and advise customers on completed work and future repair needs.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a truck or trailer mechanic.
• Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification and WHMIS certificate.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
