Truck Driver – Transport & Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a reliable truck driver to join AD HEAVY HAUL TRANSPORT in Brampton. The role involves operating lighter, special‑purpose trucks, delivering goods safely while supporting our environmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate repair costs and order new parts when necessary.
• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and routing software to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Handle customer complaints and provide professional service.
• Load, unload and secure cargo, including dangerous goods.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections of tires, lights, brakes and cold‑storage equipment.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel usage.
• Oversee vehicle condition, perform preventive maintenance and ensure safety of the load.
• Communicate with central dispatch and relay information promptly.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 7 months of truck driving experience.
• Valid commercial driver’s licence.
• Ability to operate GPS and computer‑based routing systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GPS navigation systems.
• Experience using computerized routing software.
