Truck Driver – Local & Provincial Routes

About the role

We are looking for a reliable truck driver to operate lighter, special‑purpose trucks, delivering goods locally and provincially while providing professional customer service. The role involves route planning, vehicle inspections, and handling loads safely.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and other navigation tools to minimise fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Load and unload goods, handling items up to 30 lb.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip vehicle inspections, checking tires, lights, brakes and cold‑storage equipment.
• Drive lighter, special‑purpose trucks for local and provincial deliveries.
• Maintain professionalism in customer interactions.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5/5F/G licence with a clean driving record.
• 1–2 years of local/provincial driving experience.
• Physical ability to handle repetitive tasks and loads up to 30 lb.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, shifts, weekends and on‑call as needed.

Required skills

• Operation of GPS navigation and other routing equipment.
• Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance checks.
