About the role
We are looking for a reliable truck driver to operate lighter, special‑purpose trucks and transport goods across regional and international routes. The role involves planning routes, handling cargo, and ensuring vehicle safety while meeting delivery schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and adjust routes using GPS and computer equipment to minimise fuel consumption and emissions.
- Load, unload and secure goods, and obtain required permits for international transport.
- Operate straight or articulated trucks, perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections, and oversee vehicle condition.
- Conduct emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Availability for early‑morning, morning, day or evening shifts.
Required skills
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and route‑planning software.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
