Truck Driver

About the role

We are looking for a reliable truck driver to join JD Trans Inc. in Brantford, ON. The role involves operating flatbed, refrigerated and tractor‑trailer trucks on local and international routes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy, operating straight or articulated trucks.
• Load, unload, tarp and secure cargo, including dangerous goods.
• Obtain permits and required documents for international transport.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections, brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Maintain vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes and cold‑storage equipment.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Valid AZ class driver’s licence and passport.
• Physically demanding work; ability to handle loading, unloading and roadside repairs.
• No prior experience required – training will be provided.
