Truck Driver

About the role

JSONS TRUCKING LTD. is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join its Winnipeg fleet. The position involves operating straight‑through or articulated trucks to transport goods across various routes, including mountainous terrain.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and operate Class 1/1F/A semi‑trailer trucks safely, including mountain driving.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo, including tarping and safety checks.
• Inspect vehicle condition daily – tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and perform brake adjustments.
• Conduct emergency roadside repairs and routine preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption in the driver logbook.
• Use GPS and other navigation equipment to follow routes and delivery schedules.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Valid Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Willingness to travel cross‑border, for extended periods and overnight.
• Clear criminal record, clean driving abstract and pass a drug test.
• Reliability, teamwork orientation and strong customer‑service attitude.
