Truck Driver

About the role

We are seeking a reliable truck driver to join Blueraft Logistics Inc in Calgary. The role involves operating tractor‑trailer rigs on local and regional routes, transporting a variety of goods while ensuring safety, compliance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and computer equipment to minimise fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Load and unload goods, handling heavy loads up to 20 lb.
• Obtain special permits and required documentation for international cargo.
• Operate straight or articulated trucks, including tractor‑trailers, on local and regional trips.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle condition – tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage equipment and perform brake adjustments.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel usage.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods in accordance with safety regulations.
• Complete required paperwork such as bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports and incident reports.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Valid AZ class licence with Air Brakes endorsement.
• Valid passport, clean criminal record, and up‑to‑date driver’s licence.
• Medical exam clearance.
• Ability to work early‑morning, day shifts and overtime as needed.
• Physically demanding work environment – attention to detail, ability to sit for long periods and handle repetitive tasks.
