Truck Driver

About the role

Road Runner Freight Inc. is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join its Calgary team. You will operate straight or articulated trucks, transport goods across the province, and ensure the safety and condition of the vehicle throughout each trip.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate repair costs and order parts when necessary.
• Arrange travel itineraries, make reservations and manage overnight stays.
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Drive straight‑or‑articulated trucks to deliver goods and materials.
• Inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and other equipment before, during and after trips.
• Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Complete pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logbooks.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation.
• 1–2 years of provincial/territorial driving experience.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• Flexibility, organization, reliability and a strong work ethic.

Required skills

• AZ class driver’s licence.
• Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Proficiency with driver logbook documentation.
