Truck Driver – Full-time Permanent

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join Little Big Recycling’s transportation team in Calgary. This full-time permanent position involves safely moving recyclable materials while ensuring vehicle compliance and excellent service to our dispatch centre.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload goods, handling items up to 13.5 kg (30 lb).
• Inspect and maintain vehicle components such as tires, lights, brakes, cold-storage units and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments and conduct pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with central dispatch, relaying information and receiving instructions.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Valid Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence.
• Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg and perform physical tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn; no prior experience required.
