Trip Reservationist

About the role

Under the direction of the Team Lead, the Trip Reservationist provides trip booking services for the Region’s on‑demand transit, handling customer requests, confirmations and cancellations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, record, book, cancel and adjust advance and standby service requests.
• Enter trip request information into the appropriate system(s) and notify dispatch of same‑day bookings or changes.
• Contact customers regarding discrepancies, schedule changes, and answer inquiries about policies and service schedules.
• Inform management of booking problems or system issues and liaise with service providers about late vehicles.

Required profile

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience, preferably in a call‑centre or dispatch environment.
• Experience working with persons with disabilities and ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to remain calm during stressful interactions and work independently.

Required skills

• Knowledge of specialized transit scheduling software.
• Basic skills in virtual platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
