Transport Driver (Full‑time, Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Transport Driver to join Mrs. Dunster's team in Sussex, NB. The role involves operating a tractor‑trailer to move raw materials, finished products and packaging while ensuring safety, efficiency and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and other navigation tools to minimise fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Load and unload goods, oversee vehicle condition, and perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections.
• Conduct emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Handle documentation such as driver logbooks, accident reports and trans‑border paperwork.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Reliability, flexibility, good judgement and ability to work as part of a team.

Required skills

• AZ class licence and a Class 1 or A driver’s licence.
• Proficiency in operating GPS and other navigation equipment.
• Experience with vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of documentation procedures (logbook, accident reports, trans‑border paperwork).
