Transport Dispatcher

About the role

Join CFT Recycling as a Transport Dispatcher and play a pivotal role in coordinating our fleet operations across Ontario and Quebec. You will ensure routes are optimized, schedules run smoothly, and safety and compliance remain top priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers to keep pick‑ups and deliveries on time.
• Design efficient routes that reduce mileage, time, and cost.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers, providing real‑time support.
• Monitor vehicle locations and performance using modern dispatch systems.
• Ensure all runs comply with transportation laws, safety standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with logistics and yard teams to keep daily operations seamless.
• Respond quickly to customer inquiries and provide status updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in dispatch or fleet coordination.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations in Ontario and Quebec.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Experience using dispatch/tracking software such as Fleet Complete.
• Familiarity with ScrapIT or similar CRM systems.
• Ability to work with various dispatch and tracking platforms.
