Training Content Writer (Remote, Canada)

About the role

We are seeking a Canada‑based Training Content Writer to join our learning and development client on a project‑to‑project freelance basis. The role is fully remote, works EST business hours, and focuses on creating engaging instructional materials for a variety of brands.

Key responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging training manuals, eLearning modules, videos, and other instructional content.
• Adapt tone and style to match each client’s brand voice.
• Develop creative approaches to simplify complex information.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Tailor content for diverse learner levels and maintain accessibility.
• Ensure consistency with established guidelines across all materials.
• Work closely with design, marketing, and project management teams.
• Update existing training materials to reflect product changes and best practices.
• Incorporate client and learner feedback to improve quality.
• Optimize content for digital formats, ensuring searchability and interactivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience writing training or instructional content.
• Experience using Articulate Rise.
• Strong creative writing and storytelling abilities.
• Ability to adapt to various brand voices.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be Canada‑based, work 9 AM‑5 PM EST, and provide own laptop.
