Toy Store Assistant – Gift of Christmas Program

About the role

CityKidz is looking for an organized and professional Toy Store Assistant to support its Gift of Christmas program. The role involves managing inventory, setting up and tearing down the toy store, and assisting volunteers and staff with gift selection and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Inventory daily toy deliveries, maintain accurate records of gifts and supplies, and prepare labeling and wish‑list materials.
• Set up, organize, and dismantle the toy store area, moving bags of toys (up to 25 lb) and categorizing items for selection.
• Assist volunteers and staff with gift wrapping, processing, and distribution to children and community partners.
• Support program activities such as home visits and other initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Superb interpersonal and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with volunteers, donors, and multiple departments.
• Comfortable standing for most shifts in a fast‑paced environment and able to lift bags up to 25 lb.
• Flexible to work Monday‑Friday with various shifts, including evenings, and have access to a personal vehicle.
