About the role
The Salvation Army is seeking a part‑time Thrift Store Clerk to support the Ingersoll location. You will help process donated goods, assist customers and donors, and contribute to meeting sales targets while upholding the organization’s values of hope, service and dignity.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, sort, price, and store donated items, ensuring quality standards and proper pricing.
- Assist customers and donors with a friendly, courteous attitude, handling inquiries about stock and sales.
- Maintain store security, monitor activity, and keep the warehouse and donation area clean and organized.
- Work with volunteers, restock merchandise, and prepare seasonal inventory for storage.
Required profile
- Completion of secondary school (high school diploma).
- At least three months of experience in warehouse processing, goods distribution or retail environment.
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 lb, stand for long periods and perform frequent bending, twisting and crouching.
Required skills
- Cash register operation.
- Debit and credit card processing.
