Tenure-track Faculty Position in Sociology of Work

About the role

Université Laval invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position dedicated to the sociology of work. The successful candidate will join the Department of Sociology, contributing to teaching across undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs and advancing research in this field.

Key responsibilities

• Teach courses on the sociology of work at all three academic cycles, primarily in French.
• Develop and maintain an active research agenda in the sociology of work.
• Supervise graduate and postgraduate students.
• Participate in departmental service, committees, and university governance.

Required profile

• Doctorate in Sociology or a closely related discipline, completed by 23 October 2026.
• Demonstrated ability to teach sociology at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.
• Strong publication record and research achievements in the sociology of work.
• Teaching experience and evidence of effective pedagogy.
