Temporary Works Technical Coordinator

About the role

The Temporary Works Technical Coordinator supports the design, documentation and implementation of temporary works for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension project. Working under the Station & Facilities Technical Lead, the role ensures that all temporary structures such as scaffolding, formwork and shoring meet safety, regulatory and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, submission and review of temporary works design packages, including scaffolding, formwork, shoring and access structures.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, design criteria and project specifications.
• Liaise with design consultants, construction teams and subcontractors to secure timely approvals.
• Track and manage submissions, approvals and design changes using project management and document control systems.
• Review drawings, design calculations and technical documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Facilitate communication between engineering, construction and safety teams to ensure proper sequencing.
• Support site visits to assess feasibility and implementation of temporary works designs.
• Maintain accurate records of correspondence, approvals and inspections.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating temporary works for large infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational and document‑control skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
