Temporary Full-Time Registered Nurse – Medical Unit

About the role

Ross Memorial Hospital is seeking a Temporary Full‑Time Registered Nurse to join the Medical Inpatient Unit in Lindsay, Ontario. The unit provides acute care for patients with cardiac, respiratory and metabolic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients admitted with acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, COPD, diabetes and pneumonia.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient‑centered care and uphold confidentiality and rights.
• Provide patient education on disease management and treatment plans.
• Participate in unit committees, quality assurance programs and continuous learning activities.

Required profile

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Current BCLS and IV certifications.
• Coronary Care 1 at a postgraduate level (or obtain within six months of hire).
• Post‑graduate Physical Assessment coursework.
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills (tested).
• Minimum three years of acute medical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
