Technology Lead - Android Developer

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Technology Lead specializing in Android development to join its Canadian delivery team. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, shaping architecture, and delivering high‑quality mobile solutions across the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Gather requirements, define application architecture, and create high‑level design artifacts.
• Write, review, and maintain production‑grade Android code and lead validation testing.
• Support implementation, transition, and warranty activities.
• Build Android applications from scratch with a strong focus on clean architecture and performance.
• Integrate remote data services using REST/JSON and third‑party libraries.

Required profile

• Located within commuting distance of Burnaby, BC or Calgary, AB, or willing to relocate.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 7+ years of IT experience.
• Authorized to work in Canada without employer‑based visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel as project needs dictate.

Required skills

• Java, Kotlin, Android build system.
• Object‑oriented design, design patterns, data structures, TDD.
• Memory management, concurrency, Android internals, UI design principles.
• Architecture patterns such as MVP, MVVM, VIPER.
• REST, JSON, Dagger, RxJava, Retrofit, GSON, Jackson.
• Unit testing with JUnit and Mockito.
