Technical Writer (Structures)

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Writer specialized in aircraft structures to join the A220 commercial aircraft program’s Technical Publications team in Mirabel, near Montreal. You will work with the Structures group to create and update maintenance and repair documentation in Simplified Technical English.

Key responsibilities

• Review engineering documentation and perform impact analyses for structural tasks.
• Write, revise, and approve maintenance (AMP) and structural repair (ASRP) procedures in Simplified Technical English.
• Validate new or updated tasks on aircraft (On‑Aircraft Validation).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate and compliant publications.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with aircraft structures, such as assembler, aeronautical technician, or methods engineer.
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance and repair processes.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Required skills

• Simplified Technical English (STE) proficiency.
