Team Lead, Pump

About the role

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Team Lead to oversee the manufacturing of its commercial pump products. The role involves coordinating production plans, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous‑improvement initiatives within a safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the use of pump manufacturing equipment, tools and personnel to meet production targets.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Train employees on pump build procedures, SOPs and quality standards.
• Enforce health‑and‑safety policies and lead continuous‑improvement projects.
• Recommend staffing actions, disciplinary measures and recognize employee achievements.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in pump manufacturing.
• Experience in a lean, safety‑driven manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality‑management systems.
• Ability to analyse problems, conduct root‑cause analysis and communicate solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Competence using Windows Explorer and general PC applications.
• Hands‑on knowledge of pump manufacturing processes and quality‑control procedures.
