Teacher – Supply Roster (Edmonton)

About the role

Edmonton Public Schools is seeking qualified educators to join its supply roster and referral pool. Teachers in this pool work across the city’s schools, providing instruction in regular programs or specialized areas such as languages, career and technology studies, or special education. Assignments are based on the needs of individual schools and may include short‑term or long‑term contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum-aligned instruction to students of varying ages and abilities.
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs and support inclusive education.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and support services.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and engaging classroom environment.
• Participate in professional development and adhere to district policies.

Required profile

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Recent student‑teaching practicum reports or formal teaching evaluation.
• Two current letters of reference, preferably from educational supervisors.
• Transcripts from all post‑secondary institutions attended.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Membership in the Alberta Teachers' Association Local 37.
