Talent Acquisition Specialist (Driver Recruiter)

About the role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports Canada Cartage’s growth by attracting and hiring top talent, with a primary focus on driver recruitment. This full‑cycle recruiting role works in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment and collaborates closely with hiring managers across Ontario and occasionally other regions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for drivers and a variety of other positions, primarily within Ontario.
• Source, screen, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements and company standards.
• Partner with hiring managers and operations teams to understand hiring needs and priorities.
• Support recruitment marketing initiatives, including job postings, campaigns, and employer branding.
• Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for high‑volume roles.
• Track and report key recruitment metrics such as time‑to‑fill, quality of hire, and turnover.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of recruitment or related HR/staffing experience, preferably in high‑volume environments.
• Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is an asset.
• Experience or familiarity with the transportation or logistics sector is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written) is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, sense of urgency, and ability to adapt to a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) platforms and recruitment tools.
