Systems Administrator / Systems Analyst (Aerospace Support)

About the role

IMP Solutions is seeking a versatile Systems Administrator / Systems Analyst to join its Aerospace Development and Support team in Gander, Newfoundland. This 4‑month fixed‑term contract supports aircraft maintenance software and delivers high‑quality IT services to internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain server, client, and network infrastructure for a branch office, including Windows and Linux environments.
• Manage Hyper‑V, Veeam, Docker, Oracle, and Ansible‑based solutions.
• Perform strict configuration management of Windows servers, desktops, and custom applications.
• Support a LAN of 30+ Windows clients and associated networking devices.
• Provide after‑hours support as part of the broader support team.
• Ensure backups are complete, verified, and recoverable.
• Generate regular issue‑management reports and perform related duties for the Aerospace team.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience.
• Strong background in Microsoft Server Administration, Active Directory, and Linux.
• Knowledge of SQL database administration.
• Understanding of networking, backup, and data‑recovery procedures.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Self‑motivated team player able to meet deadlines and work occasional after‑hours.
• Eligibility to obtain an enhanced reliability security clearance.
