Systems Administrator – Hybrid (Greater Toronto Area)

About the role

IT Business Advisors is seeking a full‑time Systems Administrator to join its team in the Greater Toronto Area. This hybrid position blends onsite client visits with remote work, allowing you to manage and support a variety of IT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, apply updates, and perform regular backups across client servers and workstations.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings to ensure reliable operations.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support, diagnose hardware, software, and network issues, and escalate complex problems when needed.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and IT processes.
• Assist with the rollout of new technologies and coordinate with vendors.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong background in system administration, network administration, and technical support.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites within the GTA.
